Piktures Android app review
2016 · English · Blog post
Writing in January 2016, after Google replaced the AOSP Gallery with the Photos app, ShopCellDeals describes Piktures as a well-liked choice among users thanks to its attractive design and ease of use. The review presents it as a stylish, intuitive gallery built around gestures, suited to people who take a lot of photos and find the stock Photos app messy. It explains that swiping one way opens albums in a scrollable grid, a button arranges photos and videos on a calendar, and the other side holds filters by file type and location. Features it lists include downsizing large photos, setting a picture as wallpaper, sorting by city (handy for travel photos), direct camera access, a layout adapted to tablets, and an album that brings together every picture on the phone whatever app took it. For sharing, it mentions VGA, HD and full-size resize options, a shortcut to frequently used targets, and removing GPS coordinates before posting to social networks. The reviewer concludes that the free app is well rated and worth trying for anyone who cares about keeping photos organised.
