Top 11 Best Google Photos App Alternatives For Android
2021 · English · Article
In a January 2021 list of ten alternatives to Google Photos on Android, Android Headlines picks Piktures as the best choice for everyday gallery use. The article states that Piktures is not a cloud storage service, but calls it a very good gallery app that does some of the same things as Google Photos. The writer rates the interface as excellent and names it one of the main reasons to use the app. The second reason given is that Piktures sorts photos by date and location on its own, in a similar way to Google Photos. The entry also mentions a calendar view that shows how many pictures were taken on a given day or in a given month. It adds that photos and videos can be synced to Dropbox and Google Drive, including automatically, and that the app can be locked with a PIN. Piktures is described as free to download with an optional premium subscription, and the overview table lists in-app items from $0.99 to $6.49.
