The 6 Best Gallery Apps for Android | 2024 Edition
2024-02-09 · English · Blog post
In MyNextTablet's February 2024 roundup of six Android gallery apps, Piktures is the third entry. The reviewer credits it with a modern, classy look, but argues that its real appeal is broad cloud support. That makes it a strong alternative to Google Photos for people who depend on cloud storage and backup. They note that Piktures uses a dark theme by default and lets users bookmark chosen folders so they appear above the rest, instead of assuming the Camera folder matters most, a small detail they appreciate. An Access tab gathers every source: device storage, the premium Secret Space, USB drives, Google Drive, Dropbox, pCloud, Yandex Disk and Nextcloud, plus WebDAV for a direct link to a computer through Piktures Media Server. The reviewer also praises the photo editor: it does not match dedicated editing apps, but its brightness, contrast, exposure and saturation controls go further than rival galleries, alongside crop, rotate and filters. Their verdict is that Piktures is the one to try for heavy cloud users and solid in general, though less remarkable without the cloud angle.
