Piktures, galleria alternativa moderna e funzionale

In a short October 2014 Italian write-up, AndroidWorld.it (SmartWorld) recommends Piktures to demanding users who have not yet found a gallery that suits them. The writer's main point is that the app pairs a very elegant Material Design look with a well-organised way of working, so a given photo can be found quickly even in a folder holding many images. The article explains that the main screen gathers every photo on the device, shown either as a standard grid or on a calendar where each picture sits on the day it was taken. Swiping to one side narrows the selection by the place where photos were shot, and swiping to the other limits it to a single album. The writer also points out the smooth animations on every transition. From the single-photo view, users can copy a picture into other albums, open editing effects, or share it after resizing it inside the app to use less data. The piece notes that Piktures is free on the Play Store and calls it one of the best apps for viewing photos.
