How to add a cloud
Piktures can open the photos stored on a cloud, on a network drive, or on a WebDAV server.
Add an access
- Open the Storage tab and scroll down to ADD A NEW ACCESS.
- Tap the service: Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Network drive, Koofr, Yandex Disk, Nextcloud, or Webdav.
- Read the screen that opens, and tap its button, such as GO TO DROPBOX or GET STARTED.
- Sign in. OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox open their own sign-in. The other services ask for your login details.
The new access appears in the Storage tab, under CLOUD, or under HOME for a network drive. Tap it to see its albums. The first time, Piktures reads the whole folder structure, which can take a while. The next times are faster.
Free and paid
Your first access is free, whatever the service, a network drive included. A second access needs Premium or Prime: Piktures then opens the Upgrade screen.
Remove an access
- Long-press its tile in the Storage tab, then tap Remove connection.
- Or tap its tile, then ⋮ at the top of the Albums tab, then Remove connection.
The access is removed right away, without asking for confirmation.
The services
To copy or move photos between the phone and your clouds, see Copy and move between drives.
With Premium or Prime, your clouds and network drives can also receive automatic backups of your phone albums: see Back up and restore your photos.
No longer supported
- Box and pCloud are no longer offered. If your service offers WebDAV over HTTPS, add it with the Webdav tile.
- The Piktures Media Server app has been retired, and Piktures no longer connects to it. To reach photos on a computer or a NAS, use the Network drive tile (SMB) or the Webdav tile.
