Albums
Creating a new album
There are two ways to create an album: from the Albums tab, or while you move or copy photos.
From the Albums tab
- In the Albums tab, tap + at the top. It's there for the phone and the Secret Space.
- Type a name in Enter album name. If the phone has an SD card, choose Internal storage or SD card. Tap OK.
- Pick the photos and videos to put in the new album. They are moved into it, not copied.
On the phone, the new album is a folder inside Pictures.
While you move or copy photos
- Open an album and select photos. See Selecting large set of items.
- Tap the move icon, or tap ⋮, then Move or Copy.
- In Select destination, tap New album.
- Type a name and tap OK. The photos are moved or copied into the new album right away.
To move photos into an album of the phone that already exists, tap the album in Select destination: the photos go there right away. On a USB drive, a cloud, or a network drive, open the folder, then tap Move here or Copy here.
Photos from a cloud or a network drive are always copied, never moved. See Copy and move between drives.
Android may ask for permission to manage your media or to access a folder. Allow it so Piktures can create the album.
